Matt, just a note to tell you the phones arrived in good health, Weds, Nov 2, less than a week from when you shipped them. The OEM packaging was nearly bulletproof.
They are easily the best deal in 5.1 phones anywhere. They're rocksolid, super comfortable and, with the included 6 channel amp, can easily deafen even a 90 year old before any hint of distortion shows up (if you still have any ears left to hear it with.)
When Aniken was re entry "crash landing" General Grievous's cruiser In Star Wars III (5.1 DVD) I thought the phones were going to shake themselves off of my head!
I doubt if the market can supply the amp, all those cables and the power supply transformer for that price, let alone toss in the excellent 5.1 headset and ship the whole mess Stateside.
Highly recommended. No wonder Speedlink can hardly keep up with the demand. Thanks for serving the North American market with your products.

Well the headset got here and it was WELL worth the wait!!! I had to update my audio drivers on my PC to get them configured.
These are some of the best sounding headsets I have heard for the price range... I used to have a set of Essiteric Audio headsets and these remind me of them... Very nice unit I have been bragging about them to my gaming friends...

| I've been listening to Sirius radio for about 2 hours and I really don't want to take them off. Best thing is that when I would listen to music or play games on my other headphones, my ears would ring and get that tired feeling from them being on my head, but I've taken these off to do other things for a few minutes and my ears don't ring or feel tired. |

| I have three guys in a clan {BOH} that now own them (Medusa's), and we all laugh in Teamspeak about hearing eachother in scrims to prepare for matches. On some maps, you can figure out where a person is, by the type of footseps you hear (e.g. metal stairs to concrete, wooden floor, to wooden crate = third floor in Weapons Cache SE). On other wide open long range outdoor maps, I can hear a guy crawling from about 200 yds, and a guy running at 400 yds (SF Recon). The three of us know this, laugh about it, and have a tough time with eachother because of it.
Granted we are also sporting Creative Audigy 2 or higher sound cards as I put in your post, but we have done a little comparison without the Medusa's, and they are what make it happen, NO doubt. I'm not talking about a two speaker comparison, but a full surroud sound speaker system comparison (myself and one other guy also have that setup). For gaming, its Medusas, or just prepare for a less successful fragrate.
I have not tried the Zalman's, but we have one guy who plays with us occassionally, who thought we paid way too much for our Medus's. Long story short, he found out in less than five minutes, he was way out his league attempting the comparison.

| Recently, I purchased a set of your 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones, from Medusa-USA. Upon first use, we found that one of the pins was broken off on the headphones plug in. I contacted Medusa-USA to ask about replacement.
Matt at Medusa-USA immediately wrote back to me, and told me the procedure to get them replaced, and that it should only take a short period of time. I sent them on Monday, Jan. 30th, they received them yesterday, Feb. 2nd, and today, I have a tracking number for the new phones that are now on the way to me.
I wanted you to know how helpful, prompt and considerate Matt has been during this experience. Good customer service is hard to find now days, and very much appreciated by the consumer. I would happily pay a little more if I feel that the company stands behind the product, should there be a need.
Several months ago, my husband wanted surround sound headphones, and did a lot of research on brands, etc. He finally chose yours, through Medusa-UK. Part of the reason he chose them, was the excellent product and customer service reviews. Recently, I chose to buy another pair for my son, but we purchased them through Medusa-USA, and have found this to be a very positive experience as well, even with the broken pin. We have recommended these headphones, and Medusa-USA to several others that are interested in getting Surround Sound headphones. | I am a rabid Battlefield 2 player. I just received my Medusa 5.1 "Classic" headset and couldn't wait to tell other players how happy I am with them. I just posted this on the EA Battlefield 2 message board: "My new Speed-Link "Medusa" 5.1 headset arrived yesterday. I cannot tell you how much of an improvement there is over my Sennheiser PC160! The "problems" reported in all of the earlier reviews about incorrect speaker assignments, tinny sound from the rear, etc. did not appear with my set/installation. The recent release by Creative of a new X-Fi driver addresses the issues reported in these same earlier reviews and solved any non headset related problems. The sound in-game is awesome; positioning of sources is spot-on and chrystal clear. I just about crapped the first time I stood next to the aritllery tubes when they fired! Entertainment sources are way above anything I've ever experienced on a PC as well. A friend of mine has the Turtle Beach HPA. Not only was this set less expensive, they are MUCH more comfortable and of a much higher construction quality. I can't stress the comfort factor enough. I am an audio professional and spend literally hours every day wearing professional quality headphones. There are on-par with any of my "professional" grade phones! I ordered the "Classic" edition. The included amp gives me an extra distortionless kick on-par with consumer audio products. I ordered them direct at http://www.medusa-usa.com . Service was excellent and turn-around was quick. Medusa uses DHL to ship. Much better than the other shipping services! (I personally use DHL as my shipper.) Do yourself a favor... drop the money on a Creative Labs X-Fi card and Speed-Link "Medusa" 5.1 headset combo and improve your enjoyment of BF2 and PC Audio in general." |

| I just got the Home Edition set up. What a difference! I'm not just talking about having new pads for my phones either! The entire headset seems 'tighter' in construction. The amplifier not only looks cool, but gone is the static when turning the volume up or down, and I can sit my cell phone next to the amp and my ears don't bleed when the cell company 'pings' my phone, or I get/make a call! Even the Creative GigaWorks G550W's I have had connected to both old and new aren't giving me bass feedback between tracks...nope, didn't change a thing except swap old Classics with new Home Edition settings in my X-Fi Fatal1ty. Speedlink really did an excellent overhaul, and I'm reinventing my plug towards you at Medusa-USA and Speedlink for providing the best experience in product, customer service, and customer satisfaction. Classic = Incredible .....Home Edition=Incredibly Improved! It's great to find you can really set the old addage 'You get what you pay for' with Medusa-USA. You both set the gold standard for product and satisfaction. |
