On my Asus A7V8X Motherboard, center and subwoofer signal are mixed
up.
Please open AC 97 audio configuration. Activate "Mix up Center/Subwoofer
signal".
There is a "buzzing", "beeping"
or "clicking" sound coming from the Amplifier.
Another piece of electrical equipment is interfering with the amp. Try turning
off other items one by one until you work out which one it is. Usual culprit
is a wireless router, infrared mouse transmitter or mobile phone cradle.
Lots of static when used with Creative Break-Out Box
The
source of the interference seems to be the cable connecting the sound card to
the 5.25 drive bay panel. Whomever found it discovered that by putting
his fingers on the connecting cable, static increased or decreased.
Replacing the cable Creative supplied with a non-keyed, shielded IDE cable,
eliminates the static completely.
No Sound at all from one speaker, all others work
Check the individual speaker volume settings in the Creative THX
panel settings.
Sound output is very
distorted.
This is usually caused by having the in-line volume controls on the headset
turned down to low and the volume on the amplifier too high to compensate. Please
set the in-line controls to at least 6. Windows/Creative volume control should be set to no more than 50%
